ATFV is giving away a classic retro Swans shirt to one lucky supporter!!
Ok, do we have your attention now? Good. Time to tell you about the latest fanzine fundraising scheme then as A Touch Far Vetched officially launches its Community Chest Initiative for the 2019/20 season with this fabulous replica shirt raffle.
We’ve set up a crowdfunding page on Just Giving for our generic fundraising activities, separate from our charity events for specific causes, and the aim is to raise at least £500 to spend on sports kit and equipment for schools and/or medical equipment and toys for the paediatric wards in the city’s Morriston Hospital.
Supporting Swansea charities and community causes – especially those that cater for our city’s children and youth – has always been of vital importance to all at ATFV and it always will be. And in these tough times of austerity the support that we strive to provide has never been needed so much. I’ve been talking to a couple of schools that have approached us for some support and the tales of hardship and compromise defy belief.
Footballs are a luxury item and schools are lucky enough to have more than just one for each class, for crying out loud!
There’s no way ATFV can solve schools’ shortfall in funding for sports – or indeed anything else they need – but we will damn well try our best. And YOU can help too by making a donation or two, starting with this fundraising raffle.
We have a replica Spall away shirt from 1987 to give away, remade by Spall themselves. This shirt was kindly donated to ATFV by Rob Elsey who works with Spall to reproduce classic Swans kits from days gone by and then orders them on behalf of enthusiastic Swans fans and collectors.
