We’ve dedicated this issue of A Touch Far Vetched<\/strong><\/span> to Alan Pritchard, a dedicated member of the Jack Army who suddenly and tragically passed away just before Christmas.<\/p>

Alan was just 44 years old when Fate came to take him to the great Vetch Field in the Sky where he will take his place in the spectral Centre Stand.<\/p>

A Swans fan for nearly forty years, after his father took him to his first Vetch game at the tender age of six, Alan was a big presence in the East Stand section he’d called home at the Liberty Stadium.<\/p>

His greatest pride was following in his father’s footsteps and introducing his own son Kieran to the Swans and inducting him into the Jack Army.<\/p>

Kieran however was even younger than his dad, just four, \u00a0when Alan took him to his first Swans game – to ensure his boy experienced the magic of the Vetch Field.<\/p>

Alan loved his match days and was a familiar face in both the Landore Social Club and The Alma before and after games – where he was infamous in the pre-match games of killer pool before being made to down a shot or two on the way out!<\/p>

“Alan lived for the Swans,” says his close friend Julian Elsey. “Oh he could get frustrated with them, like we all can, but he loved them and never missed a home game.”<\/p>

As well as son Kieran, Alan leaves behind wife Joanna and daughter Aimee, and all at A Touch Far Vetched<\/span><\/strong> extend their condolences \u00a0to the family and Alan’s many friends.<\/p>
